We raise our favorites, Black Angus, Murray Gray, Herford, and Belted Galloways. Our animals are organic grass fed. They are not given any antibiotics or growth hormones. They live confinement free with ample pastures. We process our meat locally with as many natural ingredients as possible. We offer three direct ways to purchase our beef: individual cuts at the farmers markets, through a meat share or by ordering a half or whole animal. Please read below for the details.


Farmers Market

We’re happy to deliver meat shares and specific orders to any of our markets, please just send us your order ahead of time.

Shelburne falls Friday 2pm-6:30pm and Ashfield Saturdays 9am-1:00pm May-October

Ashfield indoor winter market Saturdays 10:00am-1:00pm November -December

Beef Meat Share

Our 6-month meat shares can be started anytime of the year. We offer convenient options for pick up at the Ashfield Farmers Market or Shelburne Falls Farmers Market, May-October. We're also open to coordinating an on farm pick-up or meeting elsewhere that works for both of us. Pay upfront or make monthly payments. We also accept EBT/SNAP. Please email or call us to sign up for a share. Get your meat all year from us.

 

Whole & Half Animals

By ordering a half or whole beef not only are you saving time and money, you choose the specific cuts you want! Click on the cut sheet below to see the various cuts. Fill out the grazing agreement below and send it back either by mail, Freeman Farm p.o. box 29 Heath, MA 01346 or you can email it to info@freemanfarm.biz. If you need help filling it out the cut sheet, no problem, give a call and we are happy to help. Current price for beef is $4.25 lb hanging weight. Whole cows are anywhere from $2,000.00-$2,500.00 averaging 450-550 pounds hanging weight. Half beef are usually $1,000.00-$1,5000.00.
